  • Recordfixed assets by creating and supervising a system of procedures, forms, andcontrols
  • Recommendany updates to accounting policies affecting fixed assets to management
  • Allocatetag numbers to fixed assets to effectively track them from time to time
  • Recordin the accounting system newly acquired fixed assets and those disposed
  • Track,compile, and record project costs in fixed asset accounts; close out the accountsat the completion of the projects
  • Performreconciliation of fixed asset subsidiary ledger balance with summary-levelaccount in the general ledger
  • Performdepreciation calculation for all fixed assets
  • Performrevision and update on the detailed schedule of accumulated depreciation andfixed assets
  • Performasset retirement obligation calculations for Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO)to applicable assets.
  • Findout fixed assets’ obsolescence potential
  • Carryout periodic reviews on intangible assets’ impairment
  • Carryout inventory counts of fixed assets physically
  • Recommendfixed assets that should be disposed off to management
  • Monitorfixed assets transfers and update fixed assets register accordingly
  • Ensurematerials for fixed assets are tracked from shipment to store and ensure thatmaterials issued out have the right approvals and are captured timely
  • As maybe requested by management, perform fixed asset related analyses
  • Createfixed asset related audit schedules, and collaborate withauditors on their assignments
  • Serveas company representative at any audits relating to fixed assets.
  • TrackCompany’s fixed asset spending in relation to its capital budget, as well asmanagement authorizations.
  • Trackand allocate fixed expenses such as repairs & maintenance, electricity,fuel
  • Trackand amortize rents prepayments and prepare prepayment schedule for month endclosing.
