    We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financialtransactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits andbudgets.

    An eligible candidate is an accountant who is capable of auditingfinancial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculatingtax payments and returns.

    To be successful in this role, you should haveprevious experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numericalmistakes.

    The accountant will work closely with the MD and operationspersonnel and handle day-to-day bookkeeping. Ultimately, the incumbent willprovide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position andcash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all taxregulations.

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance, or relevant discipline from a recognized University or College
  • At least 2 years’ post service working experience
  • Hands-on experience in the use of at least two accounting / ERP systems

  • Understanding of the basic tenets of CashControl, Asset Management, and Bank Reconciliation

  • Responsibilities

  • Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns
  • Experience in the use ofaccounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
  • Maintains customerconfidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statement, and other reports
  • Preparation and filing of forms for payments of taxes and other obligations
  • Follow up on outstanding advances and assure timely reconciliation
  • Control and enter all expenses from the petty cash
  • Reconcile advances, including review of receipts, coding of expenses on the general voucher and entering into QuickBooks
  • Create all financial reports as requested by supervisor
  • To undertake other duties as reasonably assigned by supervisors
  • Responsible for routine conduct of physical check of assets including IT equipment and inventories.
