Who we are, and what we do

PEG delivers Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) asset-based financing to consumers who lack both access to reliable electricity and formal banking services.

PEG’s anchor product - a basic solar home system that includes six lights, a phone charger, a radio, and a TV - allows consumers living on $5-10 per day to access clean light for working and studying after hours, avoid harmful air pollution from kerosene-based lighting solutions, and also build credit for additional products and services over time.

To date, PEG has raised over $45 million and has over 600full time staff across Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Mali. PEG has also won numerous awards, including the prestigious 2017 Ashden International Award for excellence in sustainable energy, and was named as one of the fastest-growing companies in Africa by the London Stock Exchange.

About the role

In this role, you would be the right-hand man / woman to the Ghana Country Director and Group Planning. You'll work across functions and with senior leadership across West Africa to develop and execute PEG’s immediate and long-term growth strategy.

Expect

Owning and developing key metrics for KPIs and setting out how to evaluate performance across the business.

To work with senior management to implement, define, and monitor business-critical policies.

Provide project management support on strategic projects.

Work on ad-hoc projects as needed by the country and planning manager. E.g. defining annual budgets for a market, leading key marketing initiatives etc.

Support the team with monthly and quarterly business reviews.

What would you bring to PEG

Fluency English and in French (highly desirable)

Ability to influence and communicate with senior stakeholders (C suite).

Structured and organized (as you’ll be directing teams / projects).

Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models.

Handling ambiguity, problem structuring, and strategic problem-solving skills

A bias for action and history of moving work forward independently and as part of a team

Excellent Excel / data management skills. SQL, R, python experience is a plus but not necessary.
