The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU), a specialized agency of the African Union in the field of labour with its headquarters based in Accra, requires the services of experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions :
Duties and Responsibilities
To conduct researches / surveys on socio-economic issues and AU regional integration,
Toassist in determining OATUU’s research / education agendas and develop policyrecommendations,
Toanalyze and interpret socio-economic policies of the global and the African region,and their impact on workers,
Tomonitor and collect information on the implementation of various policies andprogrammes in the region,
Toestablish a database on socio-economic issues of the African region,
Todevelop project proposals in collaboration with the OATUU Management,
Toconduct training and capacity building activities for OATUU affiliates,
Toco-ordinate and implement activities in his / her areas of specialization,
Toprepare and submit narrative reports to the OATUU Management and Cooperating Partner Organizations,
Toperform any other duties as may be assigned by the OATUU Management.
A minimum of first degree in Economics, Education, Research or other related fields,
At least three years of work experience in undertaking research and education activities,
Knowledge in the areas of labour market, trade unionism, gender, SDGs, the ILO and AU,
Knowledge and skills on data and information gathering, analysis, interpretation and presentation,
Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills,
Strong computer literacy skills,
Good communication and networking skills,
Team commitment and gender sensitive,
Fluency in English and French languages. Arabic and Portuguese will be an added advantage.
