  • Job Description

    The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity(OATUU), a specialized agency of the African Union in the field of labour withits headquarters based in Accra, requires the services of experienced personsto fill the following vacant positions

    Duties and responsibilities :

  • Assists in planning,recruiting, selecting, coordinating, developing, evaluating and monitoringlocal staff and prepares the paperwork.
  • Assists inco-coordinating office staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Administersprograms, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with thestrategic goals of OATUU.
  • Participatesin developing organizational goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Develops and tracks the implementation of the employeePerformance Development Plans (PDPs) andmanages performance evaluations.
  • Manages internal staffrelations, staff communication andresolves disputes and grievances.
  • Assistsin recording, monitoring and controlling assets, income and expenses asrequired; maintains office budget.
  • Assistsin managing petty cash and performs account reconciliations.
  • Prepares and distributes reports,minute, memos, proposals and correspondences.
  • Organize andco-ordinates schedules, meeting appointments and bookings and managestravel arrangements
  • Ensures security,integrity and confidentiality of data;maintains the database and generates scheduled or requested reports to assistmanagement.
  • Ensures or Keeps updatesand monitors staff and secretariat database records.
  • Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary orrequested.
  • Assists in designing,communicating, and upgrading office policies and procedures.
  • Oversees and ensuresadherence to office policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the allocation of available resources to enable successful task performance.
  • Coordinates,guides, liaisons and advise the Secretariat protocol matters.
  • AssistsManagement in scheduling travel, courtesy calls and appointments as needed;makes travel-related arrangements.
  • Performsany other relevant duty / responsibility assigned.
  • Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, or other related fields.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience,
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and French. Arabic and Portuguese will be an added advantage
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
