This vacancy is for a security company with its parent company based in South Africa. We are looking for a sales and marketing manager who has the drive to market and get the company to be recognized in the Ghanaian market.

Responsibilities : Business Development

Business Development

  • Participate in identifying opportunities relevant to : Parent company and its allied companies’ Business Objectives and Focus AreasRevenue growthProfitability / ProductivityProduct and Platform Development
  • Establish client relationships and Client Relations Management
  • Establish client requirements and provide high-level consulting
  • Assist in / contribute to the successful development of the group’s business initiatives and special projects
  • Liaise with managing director to project sales volumes, preparing annual budget and scheduling expenditure
  • Achieve marketing and sales operational objectives by preparing and executing marketing plans, implementing customer-service standards, identifying trends and implementing change
  • Identify marketing opportunities by identifying clients’ requirements and competitor’s strengths and weakness
  • Improve properties marketability by documenting and analyzing customers’ feedback
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing trends in the security markets
  • Develop business partnership with key clients
  • Handle any other duties commensurate with the position as directed by the managing director within the company’s policies
  • Develop and implement sales promotional campaigns
  • Manage the promotions budget to ensure judicious use and projected outcomes
  • Developed a superior working relationship with third party advertising agencies, other internal stakeholders, distributors and customers within the channel of distribution
  • Define and execute the marketing channels for each sales territory for maximum customer acquisition and revenue impact
  • Initiated and implemented customer related campaigns and activities to drive Acquisitions, revenues and improve customer experience according to specified timelines
  • Technical Management

  • Maintaining an accurate and ongoing sales pipeline
  • Responsible for managing operations within all retail betting stores and online business. This involves taking responsibility for profits, revenue, cash and quality targets etc
  • Identifying trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments
  • Responsible for strategic brainstorming and implementation of new business development initiatives
  • Developing opportunities to cross-sell products to existing clients
  • Developing and leveraging the company’s branding and professional profile
  • Agreeing annual budgets and producing a detailed annual business operating plan as well as monthly, quarterly or annual targets for revenue, profits and cash.
  • Locating or proposing potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Solutions, Campaign and Service Management

  • Screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options;
  • resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments

  • Developing negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations;
  • examining risks and potentials; estimating partners’ needs and goals

  • Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Protecting the company’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks;
  • participating in professional organizations

  • Enhancing organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Skills / Competencies Required

  • Thorough understanding of marketing, advertising, media and interactive online and mobile service space.
  • Agility to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Ability to translate customer requirements to functional briefs
  • Ability to align and influence client on parent company’s core competent services to client requirements

  • Basic Requirements

  • Time Management : Organizing, scheduling and completion of own work. Timesheets to be completed on a regular and timeous basis
  • Standards : Adhere to company / Client standards, processes and procedures
  • Communication : Perform required communication management and professionalism in communications
  • Documentation : Expert skill at documentation of requirements / solution models / proposals
  • Knowledge Acquisition, Development and Transfer through thorough knowledge of business area and technical competence : Gather, collate and analyze business information and knowledge;
  • Apply expertise and develop best practice approaches;Transfer of skills and expertise relevant to the your competence to designated co-workers, partners and representatives of the Client

  • Revenue : Manage performance against revenue targets as agreed from time to time.
  • Education and Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Sales / Marketing / Management
  • At least 5 years work experience at a managerial level
  • At least 3 years hands on experience in corporate Sales and Marketing
  • Experience in negotiating and managing transactions from origination through to closure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Highly self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude
  • Proficiency in Word / Excel / Power Point
  • Must be willing to be reasonably available to meet demands of the business as required
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales / marketing profession
