The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity(OATUU), a specialized agency of the African Union in the field of labour withits headquarters based in Accra, requires the services of experienced personsto fill the following vacant positions
Dutiesand responsibilities :
Collaboratewith the OATUU Management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy.
Write, edit, and distributecontent, including publications, press releases, website content, speeches, andany other material that communicates the Organization’s activities at thecontinental and international levels.
Respond to media inquiries,arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the Organisation.
Tofollow up affiliates activities and programmes and make recommendations to theOATUU Secretariat for follow up,
Toestablish database on socio-economic issues of the African region,
To monitor and collect information on theimplementation of various policies and programmes in the region,
Tobe abreast and analyze socio-economic development globally and within the continent as it impacts on workers and advice the Secretariat,
To assist in preparation of meetingsof the Organization and programmes,
Toperform any other duties as may be assigned by Management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Minimum of three years relevant experience in communication activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Team commitment and gender sensitive,
Fluency in English and French languages. Arabic and Portuguese will be an added advantage
Strong computer literacy skills.
