A reputable engineering and construction company in Accra, urgently wishes to hire an experienced Facilities Manager.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Manage the day-to-day running of all aspects of maintaining the villas / accommodations. The Facilities Manager will be accountable for managing the facilities, maintenance and repairs for all accommodations and related property, and handle all tenant related issues.
The Facilities Manager will also be responsible for the supervision of the staff staying in the company villas.
Manage, supervise and coordinate all camp / villa activities including maintenance, general upkeep, and budgetary requirements.
Assist in setting up new facilities as needed for the company; oversee and coordinate the ordering and delivery of all required materials for setting up the camp.
Act as the direct Point of Contact for all Tenant related issues and complaints.
Perform required preventive maintenance for the facilities and ensure appropriate actions are taken for all identified problem areas.
Responsible for identifying and liaising with all external vendors required for the security and upkeep / repair of the facilities.
Recruitment of local staff to fill general maintenance functions and other junior level positions.
Manage and negotiate with local vendors for all required hard and soft services.
Manage leases and tenancies for the villas.
Maintain all administrative and financial records concerning the general servicing of the housing facilities. Maintain proper receipts for all transactions, monitor and record the cash flows of the facilities.
Manage and coordinate all lodging and rotational transportation requirements for the company staff transit into and out of the camp.
Assist with the preparation and adherence to an annual budget for villas and life support.
Respond appropriately to all emergencies or urgent issues that may arise.
Work closely with the Project Manager and HSE Manager to ensure the overall safety of the company staff; ensure compliance with local & client required safety, health and environmental regulations.
Manage and monitor the use of the company vehicles.
Ensure that the company employees are abiding by the company’s policies regarding Drug and Alcohol use, and are adhering to the company’s Code of Conduct.
