Job Summary

To direct and manage business activities and to develop and implement effective business growth strategies and programmes, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting business objectives.

  • Minimum Qualification : MBA / MSc
  • Experience Level : Management level
  • Experience Length : 10 years
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Formulate and administer company policies, directing and coordinating all activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
  • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine company progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new product development.
  • Oversees manufacturing, reviews production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing and facility problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth.
  • Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
  • Reviews and supports engineering and sales to oversee design concepts with fundamental or new technology used for new or existing products or improvement to provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth.
  • Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain manufacturing or outsourcing requirements to develop new markets.
  • Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, budgetary planning and submittal for capital expenditures.
  • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Considerable knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements relating to occupational health, safety and environment.
  • Considerable knowledge / understanding of Health and Safety issues and Codes of practice relevant to environmental sanitation / waste management.
  • Experience in handling a wide range and complex administrative related tasks.
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • Considerable knowledge / understanding of waste management practices and its environmental impact.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Coaching skills
  • Performance oriented skills
  • In-depth knowledge of operational risk management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively with all categories of staff.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and execute projects.
  • Good knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and internet and other software and tools relating waste / environmental sanitation management.
  • Very good decision making based on thorough analysis.
  • Good negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Good project management, administration and coordination skills.
  • Good managerial, coaching, mentoring and interpersonal skills in a "team" setting.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Public Health or related field.
  • Must be a member of a recognized professional body.
  • Ten (10) years working experience with at least 4 years in management position.
  • Preferable age range - 45 - 50 years
