Job purpose :

The General Manager of Terminal Management is responsible for the management and storage of petroleum products in a safe, efficient, and economical manner, consistent with customer service requirements and operational goals

Responsibilities :

  • Oversight responsibility for the overall strategic management of all the company’s terminals used for the receipt, storage, and delivery of petroleum products
  • Control and direct all activities at terminals to ensure the safe, efficient, and economical product distribution, consistent with customer service requirements and operational goals.
  • Ensure that key performance indicators are achieved and maintained at all terminals
  • Responsible for the application of industry best practice in support of HSE, storage and operational excellence
  • Determine strengths and weaknesses of terminals and assess where support and challenge is required across their operation and provide advice accordingly
  • Establishing and maintaining a training program for all Terminal Management staff so as to ensure the continuing development of technical and other skill sets.
  • Have oversight responsibility for ensuring that there are no product losses in storage within acceptable international standards
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’ Degree in Engineering
  • Masters’ Degree in Engineering
  • Project Management and Six Sigma Certification is a plus
  • 15years working experience with 8 plus years of related professional experience
  • Have fundamental understanding of operations principles and processes and has ability to oversee their implementation.
  • Knowledge of HSE is required
  • Ability to effectively influence as all levels both internally and externally.
  • Ability to oversee vendor relationships (such as business reviews, cost and risk containment and quality services
  • Demonstrated financial management and negotiation skills
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service, driving complex work efforts and delivering results.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills- oral, written and presentation
